Paying Attention

Thursday, November 14, 2019

Just as the mother universe provides our needs, she also looks to protect us. Frequently in our lives, sometimes every day, we experience a red flag warning us of potential problems or accidents. We may not always recognize these signs. However, more often than not, we may choose to ignore our intuition when it tells us that "something seems to be just a little off-kilter."

Red flags often come in different forms of feelings that urge us to take pause, listen to our intuition, to heed and consider. We may even experience a gut feeling of unease. This is a red flag letting us know that there is a possible problem. We may not know exactly what the red flag may be about. All we know is that the universe is trying to direct us in a different direction. We just have to pay attention to it.
We may even wonder whether we are just being over suspicious or simply imagining things. However, when we look back at a situation or relationship where there have been red flags, it becomes easier to understand exactly what those signs had meant. More often than not, a red flag isn't a false alarm. Rather, it is the universe's way of informing us, through our own instinctive guidance, that our path best lies elsewhere.

We may try to ignore the red flags, dismissing our unease as illogical. Yet it is always in our best interest to pay attention. For instance, have you ever met someone who outwardly seems perfect? They are intelligent, attractive, and charming all rolled into one. Yet, for some unexplainable reason, being around them makes you feel uneasy. Any interactions with them are awkward and leave us feeling like there is something "off" about the whole thing. This is not necessarily a bad person. But, for some reason, the universe is intent on getting us away from them.

Red flags are intended with our best interests at heart. No harm can ever come from stopping long enough to take heed. There's that inner voice again. So pay attention when any red flags pop up. You're always being looked out for, by the mother universe.
