Feeling empathetic today

Monday, November 11, 2019

I received my vine notification that our guy #2 has been released from jail and his sentence has been served. So many thoughts that surfaces. -, his sentence may be served but lives changed forever. Our private life has gone public and my daughter tarnished. He is leaving jail in our first winter weather advisory with possibly 5 inches of snow and 20 degree weather and where will he go? He has no wife, or kids, and his sister abandoned him when he was arrested when she knew what he did to my daughter. He lost all his belongings when he was evicted. He is on the sex offenders list for life which prohibits him from certain shelters, and Disqualifies him for hud section 8 housing. If he shows up where she works, lives, or our house within 500’ He goes to prison for 5 years. A “One time mistake” at 62 with no prior record of ever breaking the law and now homeless, no personal belongings and no place to call home, so sad and senseless
