Strap On Your Helmet of Salvation

Faith is important. Sometimes, in the heat of the battle, I think we may focus too much on the shield of faith that quenches the fiery darts of the enemy.
Recently, as I watched a football game with my husband, a player who caught the ball was tackled so hard, his helmet flew off! I wondered if he hadn't put it on properly or it malfunctioned.
In past battles, I remembered that my helmet is just as important as all the other elements of God's armor (Ephesians 6:10-18). The Word says "put on the WHOLE armor of God."
The helmet is the helmet of salvation. In other words, our thoughts, every thought should be a positive, expectant thought of victory, no matter what we see or how we feel. I have had to porter my thoughts with Philippians 4:8. If I keep my helmet of salvation strapped on, I expect victory no matter what, no matter how long it takes. God's Word is eternal. His armor does not malfunction.
