Thought and Prayer for Sunday, November 10, 2019

Sunday, November 10, 2019

There have been times when we have been a little afraid of doing something. We may have made big plans and stretched our goals so we could do something bold and big but when the time came, we backed out. We lost our courage. We gave up. That is not at all what God wants us to do. When we have big goals – or any goals – for God, He wants us to be strong and courageous knowing He is with us, in us and for us. Our courage will bring great rewards for us and blessings for others.

Hebrews 12:12-13 “So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.” (NLT)

1. Write what God is calling you to do.
2. List the reasons you haven’t yet done it.
3. Know God wants you to be courageous.
4. Step out today in confidence knowing God is with you, in you and for you – and take action.

Dear Lord, we know You have great plans for us. We also know we sometimes shy way from stepping out and doing Your will. Help us to be strong and courageous today. Remind us You are with us. Remind us You will help us. Remind us You will protect us. We know being bold for You will bring great results for others and rewards for us. We want to please You, Lord. Help us we pray. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let’s step out and be bold for God today doing His will knowing He is with us wherever we go.

Joshua 1:9 “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (NLT)

We are called to be strong and courageous as we do the will of God knowing our work will be rewarded.

2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.” (NLT)

God wants us to be courageous by helping others and getting out of our comfort zone.

Hebrews 10:35 “Do not lose your courage, then, because it brings with it a great reward.” (GNT)
