Sometimes Happiness is Using a Pole Saw!

Today was windy, sunny and cool. I think we may have gotten up to 75 degrees today. Perfect day to be outside.
My day always starts with coffee.
I then feed the chickens and let them out when it gets light, and walk the garden. And have another cup of coffee.
Morning is the best time to harvest, and this morning, I picked the last of the beans from the first three rows I planted, and found three ripe cucumbers. I put them up and proceeded to start pulling up the spent bean plants - It's time, and soon time to plant something new. Carrots and elephant garlic, most likely, maybe another row of lettuce. All the while, I've got four hens marching back and forth along the fence line, talkin' to me! So I pull a few, pick off any little beans, and toss them to the girls! And they're OFF!! You'd think they hadn't eaten all day! Little buggers are so funny, chasing each other around for the last bean! And just so you know - chickens pretty much DO eat all day, LOL!
After I pulled up those beans, I remembered that my son had brought a pole saw home from work. Someone didn't want it and just gave it to him, and he brought it home to me. SCORE! So I started taking down some of the branches that overhang my garden - didn't get all of 'em - I didn't want my broccoli or collards smashed, but I got a bunch! What a great, little tool!!
I must admit I had a great time playing with it. Good thing no one's given me a Howitzer!
