Now that Halloween is over, the stores have decided to really embrace Christmas as the most important product right now.... where Halloween items haunted shelves, the ornaments and tinsel have taken over.
And Christmas advertisements have blossomed even on HULU.
I’m not ready for it!
There is still a lot of Thanksgiving to celebrate! Even though Canada has already had their Thanksgiving, we here in the States still have most of November before I am ready to close down my Thanksgiving mode, if indeed I am ever REALLY ready to leave my Thanksgiving mode altogether.... a spirit of gratefulness makes life SO much better all the time.
It hardly seems right to accelerate Christmas’s momentum, and so I’m holding it off as long as possible...
Not to mention that we still have a number of family birthdays to observe before we can fully swing into holly jolly-ness, or maybe we should be aiming for Jolly HOLINESS! After all, just last week when I was teaching a craft (paper rosettes into Christmas ornaments) for our church ladies’ retreat, I was reminded of the importance of the Reason for the Season... Jesus!
But with everything that will be happening between now and the New Year,
Dates on Calendar are
Closer Than They Appear!
