The high today was supposed to be 80 degrees.....They lied!
It only got up to about 75. I'll take it - Sure beats really cold weather. It was also gray and cloudy, with a promise of rain. Believe me, the rain is welcome! Already the soil is dry here - Everywhere but where I've got drip tape.
I managed to get all my brassicas (collards, broccoli, kale) side-dressed with ammonium nitrate, so when it did start raining, it would give them a big nitrogen boost. I'd sure like to be eating some collards in a few weeks!
Some more good news: The new medication my doctor prescribed seems to be much better. I have ankles again, and my face isn't so puffy.
I can also fit into a few more things that haven't fit for a while now. Yay!
Yesterday, I spent most of the day in the garden, wheel hoeing the new ground, weeding, and cutting some of the larger, intrusive camphor roots. I was so whooped that I fell asleep around 8:15 p.m.!
Of course, I'm up and down to the bathroom several times and found out just how sore I was! Ow!
Luckily, a little aspirin did the trick - I'm feeling much improved today!
So today I've been taking it a little easier. It's so nice to just sit on the patio, talk to my chickens and dogs, and watch my garden grow! I am truly blessed!
