November is Diabetes Awareness Month.
Educate, Advocate and Cure

For the month of November, I will be posting a fact a day to help raise awareness of Diabetes.

Fact # 8

Hypoglycemia: blood sugar less than 70.⁣

When blood sugars are low symptoms can be anxiety, shaking, sweating, confusion, hunger, seizures, unconsciousness, and even death. Some people may even have no symptoms until they are unconscious. ⁣

It’s very important for someone with diabetes to always have food available for a low blood sugar. ⁣ They can happen from taking too much insulin, not eating enough, exercise or extra activity, and for no reason at all. ⁣

My niece took cases of these Juicy Juice boxes and bags of Skittles to college for lows. ⁣

💙 What is your low blood sugar treatment of choice?⁣
