Naughty Kits, guess they are feeling better.

Tuesday, November 05, 2019

Another cloudy cool day here. Why is it that we are always concerned about the weather, and I think that farmers are the worse. That is always the first thing a farmer would ask another person if it rained, "How much rain did you get?" it like 1 big contest, who got the most and who, Lord forbid, who forgot to dump their gauge. Is the sun going to shine, how hot is it suppose to get, how much snow did you get, how long did it take you to get dug out, those are all discussed to a fine art, when you are among farmers. But then the weather is what we fight everyday, to much sun, not enough sun, to much rain, not enough rain, etc. So I am sorry if I always talk about it, as I was a farmer daughter, so all my life, so far, it has been the weather as a daily conversation. So how is your weather today? lol

My MISSION today is to clean the laundry room, as the Kids, decided over night to play in the Kitty Litter and they about emptied the whole litter box on the floor, and Larry stated that it was sort of crunchy under foot this morning, so I looked and I couldn't believe what those 2 were up to last night. I don't know how, but all the solids were where they were suppose to be, but the litter stuff itself was all over, What fun they must have had. And this morning they finally ate all their normal amount of canned food, so with the litter episode and their eating, I think they are feeling normal again. Next week they go back and have the stitches taken out, and hope it does throw them off feed again. All is quite right now and THAT makes me a little nervous, like, what are they up to. I see neither. Better be checking this out. lol Concerned mother syndrome kicking in, and I know all you mothers know exactly what I am talking about. A silent kid is not always a good thing. . lol

Better get off here, and GET at it, it's not going to do it itself. And while hubby is on the fields gives me a chance to do whatever trips my trigger. Take care and have a GET one. Linda

Glad the kitties are doing better. And quiet isn't the best thing from any young 'uns.

Totally understand! When my Miss Lilly is quiet, I worry! Glad the kitties are feeling better, though.

I must agree with MCFITZ2. Lucy did not like a covered litter box either, She would somehow pee ALL OVER the inside, including the top. She was nice and polite once we provided an normal "open" box for her needs. We put a larger tray (actually the tray from a dog crate) underneath the box to catch any errant overflow from her scratching to cover up the edges.

My cats did not like the cover box, the very shallow one. Interesting finding the right size and putting it in the "right" places.
'weather was in the 80's sunny and slight breeze off and on.

It's like little kids--if you cannot see them or hear them, they are up to no good!!!

When we had a cat, we had a covered litter box. Was a bit harder to clean, but sure kept all the litter where it was supposed to be.

You triggered a memory for me. Like you said a quiet kid is not always a good thing. When my son was little about maybe 1 1/2 or so, I was in the kitchen doing my thing, when I realized he was not in the kitchen with me. Now you have to understand we have always lived in small houses, so I knew he couldn't be far from me. So I stopped what I was doing in the kitchen, and went to look for him. There in the bathroom, he was just covered and wrapped in toilet paper. He had taken the new roll and thought it was fun to keep pulling and pulling it. Then he must of did some turning around cause he was wrapped from head to toe in toilet paper and didn't know how to get out of it. I laughed until I cried. I have pictures and will bring them out every blue moon to make me smile.

    Thanks for share today Linda.

TERRACOTTAGE is right; a covered litter box keeps the little rascals from flinging litter all over. Kittens are great entertainment; you just have to put up with their mischief. Weather here is cloudy and no sun, humid, and not quite as hot as it has been. It was wonderful getting some real fall in Ohio over the weekend. Daughter in Colorado says fall was over with last week's severe temp drop and snow.

I can only imagine those little ones having so much fun! We are having a lovely sunny day and it feels so good but soon I'll have to put on all the winter gear so Daisy and I can get our walk in! Have a good day.
