November 5, 2019 PLANS THE FUTURE

It is getting close to the end of the year. Whatever plans we made in January for this year are either about to come true or we decided to go on a different path. We have possibly made new plans and set new goals for the remainder of the year or even next year. However, we need to remember our plans are nothing compared to the plans God has for us. When we go to Him and seek His plans for our lives, we will succeed in more ways than we could ever imagine. Let’s ask God what plans He has for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” (NLT)

1. Write what plans you have made for your life.
2. List the things you have done and what still should be done.
3. Know God’s plans for you are greater than your plans.
4. Go to God and seek out His will and ensure you are follow His plans.

Dear Lord, we know we make many plans all throughout the year. We know You tell us we should come to You first so You can help us make plans that are pleasing to You and according to Your will. We know Your plans are greater than ours. We know You will work out Your plans for our lives and we should submit our work to You. Help us to see what great plans You have for us and to do what You call us to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We are to trust in God to work out the plans He has for our lives.

Psalm 138:8 “The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.” (NLT)

Those who choose to do wrong will soon get frustrated with their evil plans because God will not allow them to succeed.

Job 5:12 “He frustrates the plans of schemers so the work of their hands will not succeed.” (NLT)

When we commit our plans and our actions to God, we will succeed.

Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” (NLT)
