This morning, I opened SparkPeople, and I was quite bothered by what I saw.

Before I could get to my content, there was an advertisement for eggs. And it proclaims, "a healthy start to your day!" or something along those lines.

Well, yesterday I did have eggs to start my day. 2 eggs, which I think is the minimum number of eggs that people eat. (I suppose there are people out there who eat just one egg, but I haven't seen it!)

So, by starting my day with 2 eggs, guess what else I started my day with? 368 mg of cholesterol. Out of context, that may not seem like too much. But when I signed up for SP, they give you nutritional goals. One of mine is to keep cholesterol below 300 mg per day.

I don't eat eggs every day; but if I did, I would be starting my day with more cholesterol than I should eat in a single day! So I would say, it's a good thing I don't!

I hope that SP rethinks the advertisements they accept!

Don’t forget that there are a lot of foods you eat that have eggs as one of their ingredients.

If it is adverts, it is already a suspect. I dislike the Fad diets, bad investments and fashionable pushes the most

The only good cholesterol is the kind you raise by exercising! You can't eat "good" cholesterol. Sorry!

Yes, the Incredible Edible Egg! They have said that most of the cholesterol in an Egg is the "Good" kind. The latest studies show - I believe it was Choline(?) & that raises inflammation. And I only ever eat 1 Egg, unless I'm out.
