October Goals Critique

Eating / Nutrition: Goal: Eat at least 5 - 6 servings of freggies each day and eat mostly according to the Fast Metabolism Diet or the Mediterranean Diet.
Result: emoticon Mixed....some days I did better than others but I feel pretty good about this.

Water: Goal: Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water each day.
Result: emoticon Most days I got at least 8 glasses in but other days, like when I met with my trainer, I tended to drink more.

Alcohol: Goal: Limit my alcohol consumption at home and when going out to eat. I want to limit my alcohol intake to no more than 1 day a week.
Result: emoticon Some days/weeks were better than others. For the most part, though, I did keep to this goal.

Exercising: Goal: Meet with my personal trainer twice a week for ST, go to the Y water walking twice a week and possibly go to Tai Chi at another Y not far from where I live once a week.
Result: emoticon I was doing so well with this until I tore my MCL. emoticon This is a ligament on the inside of your thigh/lower leg area that connects your thighbone to your shinbone. I don't know 100% that is what happened but my PCP felt pretty certain that is what happened. Now I have to wait to make an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon to find out what the next step is. Until then, my PCP said I could exercise or do pretty much anything I wanted to as long as it doesn't cause pain.

Track food: Goal: Track all of my food.
Result: emoticon I'm really good about tracking my breakfast and any other meals/snacks but tracking my supper/dinner is something I just can't seem to get done.

Work: Goal: I'm so close to finishing our website that I need/want to get it done once and for all. I just need Randy to not change his mind for the millionth time about what he thinks we should do.
Result: emoticon I finally got our new website done. It needs some tweaking and I need to add some things to it but it looks good and for the most part it is done.

Friends: Goal: Now that we are no longer rushed to do things for PAX we need to make time for friends.
Result: emoticon It just didn't happen for October. I tried to make it happen but things never worked out. I'm hopeful about November though.

Drawing: I really miss drawing and I want to either look into taking classes from someone that has a studio in town that teaches drawing whom I was given the name of or check out some of the videos from a guy on YouTube, Stan Prokopenko, that teaches drawing or check out LinkedIn Learning to see what professional videos they have. The place where Randy works gives everyone a free subscription to LinkedIn Learning where you can find professional videos on almost anything you want to learn.
Result: emoticon I never found the time or made the time for this. I looked into taking classes from a local artist but I'm not crazy about their style of painting. I will most likely try to do some YouTube videos.

November Goals

Eating / Nutrition: Goal: Eat at least 5 - 6 servings of freggies each day and eat mostly according to the Fast Metabolism Diet or the Mediterranean Diet. This has been working for me so I plan to continue eating this way. The owner of a local coffee shop that we frequent is having a class on the basics of the Keto diet. I don't know if I'll do that or not but I'm interested in learning about it.

Water: Goal: Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water each day.

Alcohol: Goal: Limit my alcohol consumption at home and when going out to eat. I want to limit my alcohol intake to no more than 1 day a week.

Exercising: Goal: Go to water walking twice a week, maybe Tai Chi once a week and possibly start meeting with my trainer again but make sure she knows to keep my exercises low impact from now on and don't do any exercises that stresses my joints.

Track food: Goal: Continue tracking most of my food but try harder to track all of my food.

Work: Goal: Finish tweaking our website and add some things to it. I'm not a fan of website programming but someone has to do it.

Friends: Goal: Now that we are no longer rushed to do things for PAX we need to make time for friends.

Drawing: I really miss drawing and I want to check out some of the videos from a guy on YouTube, Stan Prokopenko, that teaches drawing or check out LinkedIn Learning to see what professional videos they have. The place where Randy works gives everyone a free subscription to LinkedIn Learning where you can find professional videos on almost anything you want to learn.

Hopefully, I'll also find out whether I'll need to have surgery or not for the torn ligament(s). emoticon
