Day 41 of my journey / 3 things I am grateful for today (November 1 2019)

Always like the start of a new month - means to me that I can work on doing better than the previous month. It has now been 41 days since I restarted my program and have been learning a lot about what went wrong before and what I can work on now to improve things.

I am working not just on learning to eat healthy but am working on improving my physical life - walking more - and my spiritual life which is probably the biggest thing for me. I so love the time my husband and I spend every morning reading the Bible together and learning more about what our Lord and Savior wants us to remember. Am growing and learning in all of these areas.

I have been walking but not as much as I know I could or should. So this month I am going to work on getting between 1,500 - 2,000 steps in 5 days out of the month. For me this is a bit of a push especially now that the weather is turning cold - but I do have a treadmill so the real goal for the month with regards to walking is to make sure I get on it and get in those steps. Goal is to get in as many as possible by noon.

I will be starting my no sugar / no flour program (Bright Line Eating = BLE) on Tuesday but this weekend I am going to start the process to get most if not all of the sugar out of my meals. I have worked up a few breakfasts and now am going to take some time to work up a few lunches and suppers. I know that it is not going to be completely easy to do this but am going to take it one day at a time working as best as possible to be 100% compliant. As time goes buy I am thinking that when I try a new recipe (planning on doing this once a week) that I will post it here in my blog.

So I have noted my weight as of today (269) on my sparkpage (I update it on the 1st of every month) so that I can see just how well this new way of eating will work for the month of November. I understand that on the weight loss part of the program that most people lose between 1 -2 pounds every week - so am going to be as compliant as possible to get that loss as I would like to be able to report a loss of 4 pounds by the end of November - and if it is more I would be over the moon.

3 things I am grateful for today are
(1) grateful that my cold has all cleared up
(2) grateful that for the past few days my IBS has settle down due to making changes re no sugar or flour
(3) grateful for our new indoor smokeless BBQ grill - used it tonight and the chicken was so delicious and not oil was used for cooking it
