Update on knee...

Now that it has finally stopped snowing and the sun is out, I was able to get in to see my new primary care doctor. After tugging, pushing and pulling on my knee/leg, the doctor suspects that I've torn my MCL. That is the ligament on the inside of your leg that attaches your thighbone to your shinbone. It helps to stabilize your knee and leg to keep it from going too far forward and to help keep your knee in place.
If it's torn completely, they'll make a tiny incision and have a robot repair it with staples and other things. If it's not torn completely, they won't do surgery but will have me go through rehab to see how it responds. I did something similar to my other knee several years ago when we still lived in Missouri. I couldn't really afford to have anything done to it back then so I never saw the doctor about it. My new PCP had x-rays taken of both knees and referred me to an orthopedic doctor. The referral has to be approved through my insurance first, though, before I can make an appointment to see the orthopedic doctor. Hopefully, by next Tuesday, I'll be able to call and schedule an appointment.
