I probably accidentally left the page before pressing post blog entry button.

I’m sure I had great insights but for now will just do a little free association.

My asthma is so much better. Sleeping well with all the Rxs doc prescribed. They even “gave” (the invoice showed priced of $248 and a timeframe of 6 months before replacement is required) me an electric aerosol machine to get Albuterol into lungs to improve oxygen saturation which went slightly below 90 in the ER last Friday. It also keeps me from wheezing and coughing which was interrupting my sleep (and probably my neighbors in the apartment building).

It will be interesting to see if Medicare will pay for the aerosol machine. My Rx plan denied coverage of the Albuterol script.

Any how, feeling better and though not 100% back to normal, I am so much improved.

Happy to hear you are feeling better.

Yeah. Albuterol was a regular part of my life for decades! I suspect the primary underlying causes of my asthma were exposure to second-hand smoke and food intolerances.

Hoping the health insurance will cover your health needs. emoticon

Had an interesting conversation with a native Canadian yesterday. She's lived in the US for quite some time; but, will be returning to Canada in retirement because of the lack of healthcare coverage in the US. I find it an unconscionable state of affairs that folks are denied access to necessary medical care. We can and must do better.

Sounds like the aerosol machine is helping you, that is good. Your feeling better, imagine it will take some time to feel 100%.
Since your plan denied Albuterol, you need to look at your plans" formulary" to see what brand of Albuterol is covered in your plan. Pro Air and Ventolin are two of the common type of inhalers. Hoping this helps you. But plans do deny things if it isn't on their list, I know this is so confusing.
