My friend Moon and I travel to Ashland Oregon for a long weekend vacation. We stopped at Rogue Gorge on our trip for a short hike.
The fall colors were beautiful in Lithia Park. Lithia park is a large park adjacent to downtown Ashland Oregon. It was designed by John McLaren, who was the landscape architect for Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It is named after a natural spring water that contains lithium, which used to be drunk as a spa treatment.
We loved the Japanese garden in the park.
And the natural landscaping section along the creek.
Moon climbed up the rope climbing structure in the children’s play area. She is small enough to fit between the mesh rigging. I was amazed to see her climb up there! Getting down was harder.
Well, my photos are taking a long time to download. So I will finish this blog tomorrow. We attended the final performance of the Shakespeare Theatre for the season in the evening (As You Like It).. It was very well done. Moon was worried that she would have trouble understanding the archaic language; English is her second language. But it was so well acted that she enjoyed the performance, and the meaning of the words was understandable.
