Being kind to myself is not an indulgence. It requires mindfulness, knowing how to balance my priorities to stay well holistically - body, mind & spirit.

Being kind to myself means taking good care of my health, listening to my body when it needs nourishment, exercise or rest. Conversely not under eating to lose weight, over-exercising and sleeping too much.

Being kind to myself means a reward system for hard work accomplished, but those rewards should promote quality of life not hinder it.

Being kind to myself means letting go of mistakes, letting go of toxic emotions that prevent inner healing. Believing in myself even if others don't and not letting other people's bad attitudes define me.

Being kind to myself means not being so occupied with comfort, popularity and worldly success that it burdens my mind and heart, creating division between me and my creator who gives me peace and love without condemnation.
