My Meeting with the U.S. representative

Friday, October 25, 2019

He Referred me Back to the state to try to change the state law as he stated - “this is not a federal issue.” I realize my little bitty concern is only my concern. I sought every agency, department and committee I was aware of and I just don’t have any backing. I have provided newspaper reports, disability justice static’s, personal reports from various professionals we have sought and “it doesn’t affect that many people and is not that big of a problem to back this up”. The law is the law and only protects minors, my daughter is not a minor and the law will not be changed because of me or my trying to get someone to care of something that does not personally affect them.

I've missed a lot... I just discovered today that I need to reset my email alerts.

Sorry for your disappointment and yet another let down. emoticon
You've faced "walls" before. You're gifted in not giving up in fighting for your daughter.
Rest, regroup and perhaps you will find a different person/approach that will bring much needed change. Would a signature petition be a effective different approach?

Sad and frustrating that they could be on the ground floor of a great new law but choose not to care.
