Achieving balance

The definition of balance from the dictionary is "to put something something in a steady position so it doesn't fall" or "a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions".

Figuring out that balance is very important for me in this health and fitness journey. I've had the tendency to over exercise or be over zealous on a diet in the past. That just led to very short term gains because it wasn't sustainable.

I do know change is necessary but keeping a steady incremental pace is what I need..rather than looking for a quicker solution! My plan for the upcoming week is to get in 3-4 days of exercise and 4 days of logging in to spark while keeping with a healthy diet with allowances for indulgences such as pizza for 1-3 meals during the week.

I feel like if I plan on giving myself some leeway, I'll be able to build up as well as create a healthier lifestyle that is sustainable. emoticon
