YARD WORK

Saturday, October 19, 2019

Well I am finally feeling better and got out this afternoon and helped Hubby in the yard. When my legs were so bad I could not do it all spring and during the summer. I want to get the garlic planted in the next week so we can harvest next year. I am looking for a dwarf Meyers Lemon tree and I can find them on line, but They cannot be shipped to Florida at this time. I have a small fig tree that I am planting next to the preserve as there is more water in that area dn they love water. We planted a sago tin 2916 when we moved here and it basically died. We left the stump all year and 2 small pups have come up. Hubby took out the old stump and I think it looks like we will have a cluster of sago in this spot. I have a small dwarf palm to plant o the other side of the drive. They have a hedge type plant all across the front of our house. Under the breakfast room window there are three of them and I want to take them out and put in some soil and larger river rocks. I have a large terra cotta planter to plant some small bamboo and I have a stone Budda to go on that side. I will plan to work on the other side which is under the dinning room window in the spring. I have some plants I have looked at that will grow tall and slim and I have a metal statue of a pair of herons for that garden. I want a one larger rock on this side. I will leave the hedge type plants in front of the garage.
