Well I found a recipe for a potato corn bacon chowder on line. I read all the info on it and directions. Then I saw another one a little different and then a third. I ended up with potatoes, corn, bacon and cheese chowder for dinner. I just combined the three with what I had in the pantry and freezer. It turned out really good. Hubby loved it. I used a half pound of bacon fried. I used the 3 potatoes I had before they spoiled. I used a can of creamed corn and a small bag of frozen cord. Hubby had picked me up a quart of heavy cream when I needed a cup so I froze the rest in containers of 1 cup and used one of those in place of the evaporated milk. I used 2 cups of chicken broth and 8 oz of grated cheddar cheese. used my emersion blender when ready. It was rich and thick. I will make this one again as it is easy to rememb3er without looking up.
