Granted you may not have noticed I've been away but I'm back anyhow. Overall I had a positive weekend. Managed to meet up with a fellow Sparker and wife from the USA side of the pond on Saturday en route to 'home'. Given the communication curve balls that were thrown in our direction it was quite miraculous that we managed to find each other but connect we did and as far as I'm concerned it was fantastic.
Continued my journey 'home' and bumped into a friend on the train. What are the chances eh? Elaine picked me up from the station but she really wasn't well. Landed up having to nag her into seeking medical help. Went out for lunch and a mooch around town with my children Sunday. Managed to catch up with a couple of other friends. Plus of course Brunch with the Bunch this morning before travelling back.
I went to see Squidey Smidge and she was very nervous with me. I was gutted. Seemingly she's back to not letting anyone handle her. Guess when I do get her back here I'm going to have to win her trust all over again. Not a great deal of success with the rest of the feline family. We kept knocking on doors and explaining, giving contact details etc. But you know any one of the countless people we spoke to could be lying. Yes, I know that may sound harsh or cynical but cats don't just disappear. And chipped cats that are well looked after AND particularly popular 'colours' don't just disappear. Unless someone[s] is keeping them. So we keep trying.
Sally, Elaine, and Dorothy saw me off at the station. I felt desperately sad to be leaving again. Home is where the heart is so the saying goes. They tell me they are missing me as much as I'm missing them. So I've told 'em I'll find suitable properties here for them and they can all move to be with me. Now wouldn't that be wonderful?
