A while ago, maybe earlier this calendar year, maybe at the tail end of 2018, I really can't remember, I started re-reading the Harry Potter series. Breezed through the first book, started in on the second, and then....nothing....the book disappeared on me. And sure, I could have gone to a library and picked it up there (well, I assume 20 years later, there aren't still holds on those books...I'm not entirely sure that's true!). It wasn't until today, when searching for something I suspected I stored under my bed at some point (on that score, I was right!), that I found the magical well down which the Chamber of Secrets had fallen. It was, indeed, under my bed, apparently far enough away from the edge that when I'd suspected that sort of thing last year, (or whenever it was I tried to read it) my probing hand had not encountered it.
Not even sure how it gets that far away from the edge of the bed, or, in this case, that far away from the wall, because it had fallen between the long end of the bed against the outer wall. But the book has been located, and the reading of Harry Potter can begin again. But, as any Potterhead reading this might have noticed, I chose an utterance that occurred in the first book for a blog entry title, because, of course, I can't just jump in where I left off, and must go back through the Sorceror's Stone (or Philosopher's if you'd rather) before I explore Chamber. Only makes sense, right?
