There is nothing more rewarding, satisfying, nourishing than to sit at the feet of Jesus and hear His words. Truly, like a magnet, His goodness, lovingkindness, generosity and understanding draw us into His presence. I see those four people tearing the roof off that house so they can lower their crippled friend at the feet of Jesus.
That is what intercessory prayer does. When we seek God's intervention for others in prayer, we place that person at the feet of Jesus. Only He can cleanse, heal, save, make whole. When Jesus saw the faith of the four (not the faith of the cripple), that's when He moved into action.
Let's Matthew 18:19 and live our lives by faith in the Son of God, no matter what we see. The Jesus I know still raises the dead.
