BEING WHOLE IS A BALANCE OF THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT

Our body is our home and each morning each of us wake up with a gift of 24 hours. This fall season I am focusing on a balance of body, mind and spirit.
I have my exercise routine figured out, but I’m still trying to decide which diet is best for my body. I heard a comment once that I like – finding the right weight loss program can be like choosing a friend or mate. Those that aren’t a good fit fade out of the picture, but a great match can last a lifetime.
I want my diet to give me physical energy and all the nutrients necessary for growth, repair and health. However, it is not only what I eat, but how well I digest the food. I’ve started a food journal documenting the food, time I ate it and how well my body feels afterwards.
I think it is impossible to overestimate the importance of good digestion. Good nutrition and good digestion are teammates. Two paths of life are open to all – one that leads to health and happiness and the other to disease and unhappiness.
However, I think the process of assimilation and elimination are not confined to the physical realm, but operate at the emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
I want my emotional nourishment to reflect feelings of love, joy, peace, kindness with elimination of depression, anxiousness, stress, fear, hate.
At the mental level I want thoughts of positivity, digesting new ideas and information from many sources and eliminating old ideas and old concepts that no longer reflect my revised view of reality.
Finally, at the spiritual level I want to assimilate my highest spiritual ideal and reflect that in my speech, thoughts and actions, eliminating anything that does not support this truth.
