What a great day

I got to actually speak to my son last night on the phone. We usually msg on Facebook because of the time difference and the day difference, so it was a pleasant surprise. Of course he wanted something, help from his father on repairs to the new rental house they just bought. I got 5 minutes, my husband 2 hours. So I did my exercises: 31 minutes at resistance 3 on my stationary bike, my 14 physical therapy exercises, and some functional exercises. Yesterday I finally got a call from Physiatry to schedule an appointment but only after I told my primary care I had not heard from them since his referral 2 1/2 weeks ago, nor had they returned my phone call for 3 days. So someone cancelled and I get to go Monday. Their excuse-they lost their scheduler. really, a multi million dollar medical facility with thousands of employees and the loss of one person? Don't have a very good feeling about this department but we will give it a try. Today my challenge gives me a day of rest. Might be a good thing because I am feeling the physical therapy especially in my arm. Made a zucchini salad and a zucchini chocolate cake for church tomorrow. Still have some zucchini to use and I don't like to freeze it so probably some more bread. The it is on to the pumpkins so I can have pulp for pies and desserts throughout the winter. Sun is shining and the snow is melting making lots of mud. Next week it is suppose to be in the 60s. Montana weather for sure.
