Whining

Friday, October 11, 2019

Yikes.
As I told MTN-KITTEN I feel like a tire worn down to threads that suddenly gets a wheel alignment. I'm not sure how my worn joints are going to adjust to working a bit off their old center.
My knee hurts as do my hips and my old "stupid" toe.

Wah, wah, wah!

I've already had the toe and knee "resurfaced" to relieve damage due to arthritis. This isn't going to be as easy as I hoped.

Oh well, off to the gym to ride the bike and get my upper body work done. Perhaps I should go out west and lay my body down in the snow!

Adjusting... re-training is a very difficult thing. That's where your perseverance will see you through emoticon

I feel like I'm in the "falling apart stage" too.

Hope your PT will bring you relief in the long run.

Ice, elevate, jump in a hot tub or whirlpool. Drink lots of water, foam roll away some of it...keep moving, it’s clutch. Not whining, this is what winning feels like. Take your time, use that head you were blessed with, push within reason...surprise yourself. Easy doesn’t change us. Cheers to winning, I understand the whining. If it helps you move forward, whine away.

Meanwhile I’m gonna have to wrap my young man in bubble wrap! Spent most the day in testing and follow-up with his orthopedist to be sure he didn’t damage the repaired shoulder playing pick up basketball! (just a strain fortunately) “Keep movin’!!!”

You're not a whiner -- you're just feeling the effects of the "tune up"!! Here's hoping it gets better and soon.

As in many things, beginning is most challenging.
Looking forward to a future post after your body is moving with less pain.

Ummm … out here in the West … we have snow and cold temps. Brrrrr.

That will make your arthritis act up even more.

I got my new crown Wednesday and some resurfacing done to other teeth... so now my bite is different.

Life … it's full of adjustments.

Hang in there. The West *is* cold this morning, but here, so far, no snow.
