The price of popularity among men is greater than Christians should be willing to pay!

Do you know the voice of the Bridegroom? (Matthew 25:1-13; Hebrews 1:1-4; Revelation 19:7)
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what advantage is it to a man if he gains the whole world and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:23-26).
Believers must decide to follow Jesus Christ. He tells us that if we wish to follow Him, we must deny our own desires. In this verse, deny is a Greek word, which means repudiate – refuse to have anything to do with.
If we are ashamed of Jesus or His words in today’s society, He will be ashamed of us in the presence of His Father and the holy angels. The price of popularity among men is greater than Christians should be willing to pay.
Pray for the courage we all need to stand for God’s principles in a godless world.
