What went right Tuesday October 8-
YEAH!!! The builders are done, our barn is done! NOW TO DO THE STALLS is phase 2
Did chores early, Jim is home from work on vacation (to build stalls, some vacation!) so he
cooked me poached eggs. Planned my meals for the day first thing in the morning, was easy because, Jim poached eggs, left over chili for lunch and grilled chicken salad for dinner with side of turkey brats. So, for me, adding the meals before I eat them, and actually eating before I am hungry works better for me.
I went riding in the early afternoon- and then had not planned on for hunger after riding, we had to stop for fuel on the way home- and it was not hard to say no to food there, because I already knew I was cooking when I got home....though... it did make me think that how many calories would I have picked up in a "snack" at the fuel stop. Would have likely been a soda 250, chips 400? and a candy bar-250- yes- that would have been a 900 to 1200 calorie "snack" if I had done my typical behavior and bought two sodas. YIKES.
Just like finding a hole in the budget; certainly feel like gas station snacks are a hole in the calorie budget & actually in the $ budget too, if I'm honest.
So, overall yesterday, a win. I rode my little sorrel mare out on the trails, it was glorious.
Perfect weather, we mostly walked- all training for her 30 mile ride this weekend is done, it is stored power and these rides are just to keep her moving and her muscles loose. No hills, no speed, just enjoying nature.
I was surprised that the scale moved overnight. So- I am off to do chores, and will add all meals to the food tracker- I use a different one than SP- and will stick to the plan, ride again today and elliptical (maybe hike also) Busy around her planning the stalls and planning our camping trip. Bad weather predicted, so need to do extra planning of horse blankets, horse coolers, clean tack, rearrange horse trailer etc etc.
Until tomorrow, happy trails and I hope some of you stick with me on this journey, support really helps, what REALLY helps me is accountability.
Staying under 1500 Calories & hitting the elliptical.
Hiking and riding horses as possible.
nights/no eating after 7:30 PM
mornings/not eating before 9:30 AM
