I began intermittent fasting a week ago. Unfortunately my scale isn’t accurate so I can’t track weight progress right now 🤷🏻♀️ but since I’ve continued tracking calories I can say I have easily stayed under my calorie limit every day. I try to choose healthy options and eat slowly giving my body time to register what’s going on and drink plenty of water. Even on days that I think I overdid it with unhealthy choices I still found that I was under my calorie limit so I like that! I do a 16:8 so basically I just don’t eat before 11:00AM or after 7:00PM.
Here’s what I’m learning about intermittent fasting:
1. hunger comes in waves. It’s really a mind game.
2. Food isn’t nearly as satisfying as I THINK it’s going to be when I’m tempted to break a fast early.
3. The satisfaction of meeting a fasting goal is incredible!
Because I don’t want my fasting efforts to be in vain I also find myself exploring a variety of new healthy foods during my eating window so it keeps things interesting & I’m really enjoying it.
Can’t wait to get a working scale!🤷🏻♀️🤣 but for now using how I feel and how my clothes fit as a gage.
