First Few Days on Sparkpeople

I started back on Sparkpeople this week after a very long absence. This is not for a major weight loss, more of a tune up to lose 10 pounds. My main goal is to establish a regular routine of exercise, including strength training. I have been a lifetime exerciser, but now that I am a senior, my body and muscles aren’t the same. I have lost some flexibility and muscle mass and have flabby arms, which I hate. I am committing to exercising 5 days a week and tracking my food everyday.
One of my big obstacles is all my overweight friends who eat anything and everything and
don’t understand why anyone would want to eat healthy and exercise, in spite of their very
serious health conditions caused by their life choices.
I am happy to be back on Spark. What an amazing community!
