September reads

Thursday, October 03, 2019

It was a busy month and I didn't have a lot of reading time but I did knock out a few books.

This was was a big disapointment. I've been a huge fan of Lindsay Nixon aka Happy Herbivore since I found her when I decided to go WFPB. I have all of her books but this one was a big disappointment. No recipes. Just links to go to the recipe. Maybe they are good recipes but since I couldn't follow it directly in the book it just didn't work for me. Maybe I'll try the 8 day plan in the future but for the moment I'm just wishing I hadn't wasted my money on the book.

Now let's move on to some more entertaining reading!

The two JD Robb books are great audios. I don't like this series to listen to but I love the audio books.

"The Alice Network" was great. It's about a female spy in WWI. And later about a single, pregnant girl who meets the spy after the end of WWII so the story goes back and forth between the two time periods as the young girl learns about the life of the spy. Great read and I highly recommend it. I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.

Happy Reading!

The In Death books are one of my must-reads when they come out in MMPB. I can't do audio books - it just goes in one ear and out the other without stopping for comprehension - I am a visual learner. This month I am starting on the Ben Aaronovitch Rivers of London series since.

I just finished reading Hitler's Furies, which would pair well with The Alice Network.
