Never give up.

Never give up. Never give up. I tell you never give up. I am blessed. I have been working hard since July to keep my thoughts good so what comes out of my mouth will be good. That is not an easy goal. I can tell you that it has made my life easier. Some people think that I am just a pushover or a Pollyanna but I think that both of them are ok to be. This does not mean that my life is easy, it just means that I can see the good in everything. In saying that, I want you to know that is not an easy task either. I feel like I have had a lot of struggles lately. I will share a few of my dilemmas. I lost my health insurance August 31. I have had major health problems. I need to have some major testing done but without insurance, I have to rethink this. A CT scan, and an exploratory look into my lungs and windpipe. There is also the appointment with a specialist. So how much will all that cost? Well yesterday, at church, my eyeball starts to hemorrhage. It bled till today. The specialist said I was to stay upright and not to do anything. A still day. That makes for seeing out of my one eye pretty difficult. Of course the specialist wants to do an ultrasound on my eye. What? I didn't even know that could happen. How much will that cost? Last night an hour after I was asleep, I woke up sicker than sick. My stomach acids sometimes like to come up into my mouth. Acid burns so bad. After an hour of being violently sick, I finally got to go back to sleep. What a night.
So where's the good in all that? First of all God saw me through it all. My eye did stop bleeding. I can still see out of my eye so my retina probably did not tear. My stomach settled down after an hour, it has lasted 24 hours before. I truly trust that God will lead me down the right road. I continue to read the Bible. Talk about lucky, I have the Bible on my phone so I can listen to it. I'm starting the book of Isiah tomorrow. Life is good. Add into that, I'm still working on losing weight and I have been being successful there too. I am eating my breakfast! Such an important meal. I do not eat after 6:30 pm. I am struggling to get in my 64 ounces of water but I still work at it. So I go back to the beginning words, never give up. LIfe is good.

An eye ultrasound is not very dramatic, they do it in the office, it takes less than a minute. I hope you get your insurance back so you don't have to worry.

Keep up the faith & positive thinking. You might check with the hospital or the radiology facility and see if they offer discounts for cash price, a lot of places will. Also check with hospital if they have indigent funding, if so it can help cover some of the cost if you qualify..
Good luck and God Bless. emoticon
