Catching Up Is Hard to Do - Part 5, 5th Week in Pucallpa

Saturday, September 28, 2019

On the 5th of August, our "Friendly Neighborhood Fishmonger" came by again
I chipped in to buy more fish, knowing Levi likes some for a change.

Kitty likes to sniff around, hoping for a little offering.

Tia Peti and Tio Maxi came by and helped grill some of the fish for lunch.

Levi really had a hankering for Ma's homemade bread, so on the 6th, Josue helped with the kneading.

On the 7th, I had a hankering for some GOOD "chaufa" (fried rice) - something with plenty of veggies. When I make it, there are rarely leftovers cuz everyone eats it up!

On the 8th I basically "simmered" (like "chilled", but it's hot in Pucallpa!)

Later that evening a large moth came to visit in my room and allowed me to get a fairly close up picture so you can see its colors.Dark, but some nice iridescent green!
