I am going to gain so much weight this week

Sunday, September 22, 2019

I am going to gain so much weight this week. Tracking after the fact just isn't working for me. I think I'm ordering something healthy, e.g. the quinoa and grilled chicken salad I had today only to discover when I tracked it, it was 1495 calories! What the H*LL! There should be laws against salads that have so many calories. Mind you, I asked for it without the goat cheese but that only knocked 100 calories off. emoticon

I'm visiting my sister's place in Quebec and I've been eating roughly 500 calories more a day than I normally do. It's healthy for the most part but it's still way more than I normally eat.

Like last night, we went to Scores, a local chicken restaurant for dinner. I had a quarter chicken dinner with dark meat, grilled veggies, green salad and strawberries for dessert and all that came to over 900 calories! Why is restaurant food so high in calories? I mean if I'm going to eat that many calories then I might as well have had the fries instead of the salad.

I've had good workouts 3 of the 4 days though so I'm hoping that I don't gain a ton. That can be so very frustrating. It takes so long to lose weight and to have a huge weight gain after only 4 days away will be so devastating. emoticon

Keep your fingers crossed that it's not too bad.

You made good choices and a salad or chicken with vegetables and fruit are always better for your health than french fries. Remember it's not just about the scale, but quality of life. You are having a good visit and maintaining your healthy lifestyle by choosing healthier foods, even if more caloric than you'd prefer.

Yikes! How big was that salad?! You may have taken in a lot of calories, but your healthier choices were still great. You got better nutrients from the food you ate than if you had chosen junkier food, which may have led to craving more junk, too!
