Math is not my thing!

Friday, September 20, 2019

This morning when I started to put the top row on my center section of the quilt....I needed to use math. Now my center section needs to be 10" wider than it is. So after a lot of fussing around with what I was going to do next...I finally decided to call the fabric store and see if they had any of my sashing polka dots anymore. They had just 2 1/2 yards. So I drove over and picked it up. Now my center matches my top row without having to take the darn thing apart. But my bottom section still needs some more width. I'll figure that out tomorrow.

in this heat and humidity again today I really didn't feel like eating hot food. I did roast 4 chicken thighs in the air fryer and had one for dinner with green beans and potato salad and now I can have cold chicken tomorrow. Because it is supposed to be hot again. Sometimes the heat gets to me even if I'm only out a little bit.

Thank fulls
1. finding exactly what I needed at the fabric store
2. advice from a friend that help me make a better choice today
3. Watching my animals play... at least it's good for a laugh

I do have to go into town in the morning to pick up my sleeping pills but no other shopping. Then I'm going to attack this dang quilt. I'm starting to get tired of working on portions of it and it not coming together because I can't measure and add good.

DH just bought an air fryer attachment for our Insta-Pot; I'm curious to see what the food is like when cooked in the air fryer!

Happy to see you were in luck that the fabric store still had some yardage left of the material you needed.I know that come tomorrow you will figure out what to do to get the other row to match up to the rest of the rows on the quilt.

I am not a math person either. We always can learn. When my DH is working with work it's always measure twice and cut once. Sometimes he measures an additional 2 times to be on the safe side.
Glad you could get more fabric.
