Just when you think you're done

That little bit of a cold hanging on, throat ultra dry and a bit scratchy. Just give it up already, you silly bug, I'm ready to move on, why can't you admit you failed to keep me down?
Random California congresscritter is resigning from the house of reps to run for a county Board of Supervisors seat, and the main guy for a political site I read said you'd have to think long and hard for a similar resignation, and my first thought was, didn't a Michigan representative do just that a couple of years ago? Yep, a 7 term Michigan 10th District rep quit Congress to run for a Public Works Commissioner position, in a move that made a few of us wonder what sort of grift they were trying to run. At least this new person has the excuse of being in the minority in Congress, and being stymied in getting much done from that position.
A FB friend just mentioned a band called Disillusion, and I'm checking out their stuff...and it's pretty great. My ears are going to go to sleep happy tonight.
Beyond the guy I'm working with in the clinic I've been assigned to, who I worked with in Canada, I've also recognized a handful of other people I've worked with on prior projects. Suppose it's inevitable, now that I'm doing a 5th project through this particular company, but it's nice to see friendly faces in unexpected places.
I've now gone into Oklahoma 4 times. And spent money there. Although, I won 20 bucks at a casino Friday night and only spent 10 at a gas station after wandering around the runestone park on Saturday, so really, I've taken money out of Oklahoma. Still, I'm totally claiming that state as a place I've visited the next time that FB quiz comes around.
Three more days and back to home. Still don't know if it's work a full day Friday and fly home Saturday, or half day Friday and dash to the airport in the afternoon. Not even sure how late flights are available from Fayetteville to Detroit. Wouldn't really mind one extra evening in this area, there's still a couple of things I want to check out, recommended restaurants, this nature area one of the nurses mentioned.
One slight disappointment, the fact that there's a Raising Cane's restaurant set to open in Fort Smith, but not until the week after I go back back home. It's a fast food chicken fingers place that I first encountered in Lincoln, Nebraska back in 2016, and I like it a lot, but it hasn't made its way up to Michigan yet. I've eaten at the chain when I went to Las Vegas, and on a visit to Columbus, Ohio, so it's not like I don't get to places where it exists, but...this one is so close, yet so closed.
