Update on brother and daughter
Tuesday, September 17, 2019
Good morning everyone. David is back safe and sound at the nursing home. I'm glad he's back closer to us and the drive is only on my way home now and not 45 miles away.
Daughter, Kiswha had her MUA (manipulation under anesthetic) done yesterday. This is from her right after it was done: Keep in mind the doctor who did her surgery and then mysteriously left the hospital, had told her she didn't have any scar tissue causing her to not be able to work through PT.
"On my wavy home. That was very painful. I woke up bawling. Pain was beyond a 10, they gave me 2 injections of fentanyl, 2 injections of diladid and 2 pills of percocet and my pain is at a 6/7 right now. My knee cap is what hurts so bad. No PT today, I'm to ice and elevate and only bare weight to use the RR. PT resumes tomorrow. He said I had a lot of scar tissue that was preventing my bend. He got me bent to 120 and straightened out to a 5. Follow up appt in 2 week's. Can't wait to go home and try to sleep."
This was from her after waking up "Went to sleep shortly after getting home around 11a and woke up at 3p, slept with the ice machine on. My knee hurts to bend and straighten but surprisingly that's the only place of pain. I actually feel good, pain is minimal. Hurts a little too walk but I was told to walk every hour for at least 5 minutes. "
She'll just have to really work through any pain when she does her PT to keep it where it needs to be. A 120 bend and 0 straight.
That's about it now. Thank you to so many of you who have continually gone on my crazy journey called life. Love you all for your support and kindness. ~ Donna
