6 months later - down 45 lbs

Tuesday, September 10, 2019

I am still plugging right along following the intermittent fasting and low carb way of eating - and I still feel amazing! Life has been so radically simple since transitioning to this new way of eating. I lose about a pound a week on average and never feel deprived.

The great thing about choosing low carb is that once the sugar is out of your system, your crazy cravings go away as well. I am 51 years old and I feel better than I did when I was 10 years younger. I am learning more about myself & my body every day. I recently went through a plateau of about 6 weeks where I lost & gained the same pound over and over. While it was frustrating, I reminded myself that my body has to make adjustments and that the losses would resume. During that time though, I dropped down to a size 16 in my clothes. I lost an entire size without losing a single pound on the scale!

It's been years since I could slip into a size 16 and I weigh more than I weighed the last time I could wear a 16. The reduction in inflammation has made all of the difference for me.

I just wanted to drop in and say that I am still here & still going strong - everyone have an amazing week!
