Sunday and dreary.

Sunday, September 08, 2019

Hope you all are having a fantastic Sunday. I got all the checks for bills made out today and the the check book all balanced, and got them ready to send and them discovered I didn't have enough stamps, so that means tomorrow there will be a trip into out little village to the PO to get stamps and the bills off to there destinations. If any of you have figured out how to not have any bills please let me know. lol You would think that when a person doesn't get a pay check or make a living anymore that the bills would also quit, but no, it doesn't work that way. lol

Rained off and on yesterday, and today it is only 63 and cloudy, and breezy, so a little chilly. Feels like a fall day for sure. If it stays this way, may have to dig out my jeans, sweat shirts, and SOCKS, and those old familiar things will feel so wonderful. I can't wait for that day. Got to be checking out the closet and getting them ready for the next season. Only bad thing is, that I will still be wearing the same size. Bummers.

You all have a wonderful afternoon and evening, and don't forget the ME TIME. Linda

I write a few checks, but most of the bills are paid online. I refuse to use any utility's "budget" service because that's like giving them an interest-free loan. It was drizzling and chilly here most of the day and a sweater felt great.

Beautiful and sunny today. Went to a master gardener presentation on container gardening in the desert.
We are getting close to planting "cold" weather gardens.
Worked out in the pool in the late afternoon.
Have a good Monday and sleep sweet tonight.

I have most of my bills on autopay, and that simplifies everything. It rained this morning, and the sun never made an appearance. Take care Linda!

We had a storm last night and lost a tree from the wind. About 2 inches of rain, but the sun came out this evening.

Sounds like the day we are having here. It rained overnight but Daisy and I got our walk in before it rained again. I made a big slow cooker pot of vegetable beef soup and can't wait for dinner. Yes, fall is definitely in the air. I'm wearing fall clothes today too and it may be the winter pj's tonight! Have a good rest of your day!

Oh, and I agree about bills. Once the pay checks stop so should the bills.

It's an overcast day here as well, as we are at 68 degrees here. Definitely a fall type of day. So amazed on how this summer just flew by. I'm glad I made the most of it everyday, no matter what Mother Nature had in store for us Rain coming later in the week.

Been a kinda lazy day, after all exercise got done. Pulling out plants that need to go before it gets to be winter. Going to change things in the flower beds again. Our soil is poor. We going to put down after all the cut back will be done, some peat moss, to help with organic matter in our soil. We have this huge maple tree that is just robbing our soil of it's nutrients. Think I'm going to take a soil sample and send it to Michigan State University for testing. They will send us a report as to what we have to add to the soil to enrich it for better growing. If we have to go through this just for simple flower beds I can't imagine what farmers go through.

Well son is coming over for dinner and I have beef stroganoff going on the stove. Going to make some biscuits to go with it. I love one pot meals. You take care and enjoy your Sunday.
