Hole in the Wall
Saturday, September 07, 2019
I slipped back through that wall I crashed through two weeks ago, and landed back in the 140's this week. My working vacation last weekend (Wednesday - Monday) took a lot out of me and I was hit with fatigue after I got home and went back to work.
Less exercise, more eating, and voila = an extra pound! Also feeling kind of bloaty today, maybe due to antihistamines I started taking for my autumn allergies. (Don't you just love the word "autumn"?- it sounds more poetic than fall - and the alliteration with allergies!)
I'm confident that I'll be back in 130-ville next week. For starters, I got 10 hours of sleep last night!
Some sad news: I woke up in the middle of the night on Wednesday, 3:00 AM or thereabouts. It's not unusual for me to get up once or twice in the night, but normally it's for a quick
trip to the bathroom and/or a sip of water and back to bed. I checked my phone this time for some reason. I had a text message that a dear friend back in Florida, 94 years of age, had died in hospice care. Jean was another faithful prayer warrior, like my long-time online friend Norma who passed a couple of months ago. I will miss them both. They can't be replaced, but I think it's time for me to up my prayer game to emulate them!
Have a good week, friends!
