I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8

How are you sleeping? All kinds of things can disrupt our rest, but believers shouldn't stay awake night after night from fear and worry. In the book of Daniel, King Darius didn't sleep a wink in chapter 6, but David rested just fine in the lions' den. The next morning he told the king, "My God sent His angel and shut the lions mouths" (verse 22)
The same angels guard us, and not just the angels! God Himself watches over His children by day and night. According to Psalm 121:4, our heavenly Father watches over us and He neither slumbers nor sleeps. With God on our side, we can have peace amid opposition and rest in troubled times.
Try some adjustments to hour evening routine. Instead of rehearsing your problems at bedtime, review your favorite Bible verses. Thank God for three or four specific blessings you've experienced during the day; Choose a promise as a pillow; In peace lie down and sleep for the Lord makes you dwell in safety.

Thank you Spark Friends for coming to my blog and posting your comments. I am praying for you and your families in Jesus's Most Precious Name. Amen
