A trip downtown

Today I needed to meet a vendor at the Pike Place Market. After finding out that I had just missed him and he would not be back until next Saturday, I decided to walk through the Market.
When it was no longer fun being in the masses that a Summer Weekend in Seattle brings out, I went across the street to Mee Sum Bakery for BBQ Pork Skewers and Humbow. This is the best Barbecue Pork I have ever had. I can't go to the market without stopping to get Barbecue Pork. The pork tasted even better after I was able to track it and stay in my nutrition range.
Next I walked down to the Sculpture Park and wandered through the exhibits.
I walked along the Sound on trails that lead me North for a while then turned and walked back up the Waterfront.
Getting back to my car from the Waterfront was a climb. Up stairs and then up hills. The music these gentlemen were making was my reward.
All the time I was walking and doing my thing I was grateful to be able to make my own decisions about where to go, when to turn around, and what to eat. Living alone can be lonely and it is hard to see everyone else with friends and partners when I am lonely. Today I was grateful for my autonomy.
