Dollar double header!

Michigan women's and men's soccer teams are taking on Florida Gulf Coast University's soccer teams this afternoon to kick off their seasons, and admission to the Michigan Soccer Stadium is a buck. For both games. And they're going to have dollar hot dogs and dollar drinks. I can't resist a deal like that, so I'm gonna go out there and watch a game or two. The only question is, do I ditch the men's game (the later contest) to go watch the seventh rated Michigan Field Hockey squad take on the #1 team in the country in North Carolina, a mile down State Street at Ocker Field? Or maybe go that extra quarter mile further down State Street to Cliff Keen Arena to see the Michigan Volleyball team open up their season against...well, actually, they already played a game this morning at 11 AM, so it wouldn't exactly be the season opener. But the possibilities are myriad, if not endless!
Actually, taking another peek at the schedules, the field hockey game is at 6, so I'd only get half of a soccer game in before running off. Maybe I'll just wait until Sunday, when Wake Forest comes to town for a #7 v #10 matchup. And in the meantime, I think I'll be watching the Michigan Football team open up its season against Middle Tennessee State on Saturday night from the comfort of my couch. A friend had mentioned offering me an extra ticket she had a few weeks ago, but I haven't heard anything about it since, so I suspect it has been spoken for. As I suspect that game might cease being a contest some time in the second quarter, I'm not entirely sad not to part with in the vicinity of 50 bucks for the privilege. That sum can buy me a ton of hot dogs tonight!
