I want to do better

Wow. So much has happened since my last blog. I won't go into it all... Currently, my 4-year-old is sick with tonsillitis. I don't get on here near as much as I would like. My own fault. Haven't been really active with the weight loss and I want to change that. I feel like I keep starting over and that sometimes seems to be the hardest part until I realize I haven't maintained my healthy living and then I know that THAT is the hardest part. It doesn't help that I don't have a great support system at home nor my crazy hours at work. It is hard to be consistent when consistency is a pipe dream in my line of work. I am a 911 dispatcher. I come to work at a different time every day and we rotate schedules every 4 months. Ugh. But it is what it is. I need to stop making excuses and just do it. Start meal prepping. The only thing I have against meal prepping is, that I hate reheated meat of any kind so if I make chicken for dinner and refrigerate it and reheat it at work, it tastes completely disgusting to me. And there is no way I could be a vegetarian. But I guess I could be one for work meals only lol.

Well, that's all I've got today. Going to try and start being better about logging food and consistency no matter my schedule. Also, down here in Florida, we are preparing for Dorian to come this way. Hopefully, it will dissipate before it gets here but who knows... this is Florida after all.

    Very honest emoticon it's good to be truthful with yourself; helps with forward movement.

    Don't worry about "starting over", sometimes that in itself sets us up for failure.

    Find small ways to get in some fitness; 5 minutes at a time really adds up & helps you feel stronger, accomplished, more energy & better sleep -- I know it has really helped me.

    Remember even those who eat meat needs to get in their fruits, vegetables, grains, etc. Maybe that's the key for you is getting in some of those items at your workday meal.

    You can do this. If you make it one more day than your last restart you have improved. Baby steps and celebrate the small stuff.
