Laughter really is the best medicine!

Getting your laugh on has many benefits - including stress relief, says the Mayo Clinic and a 1993 study published in the journal Psychological Reports found those who used humour as a way to cope tended to be more positive and happy overall.

Other health benefits include the reduction of stress hormones and blood pressure, as well as increased blood flow and oxygenation to the cells and organs. Laughing provides a natural workout for a number of muscle groups, can defend against illness, and even increase the response of beneficial tumor and disease-killing cells throughout the body. And laughter has also been shown to increase memory, intelligence, and creativity.

To get a laugh on tell yourself a bad joke, watch some funny videos on YouTube (kids and animals make me chuckle all the time), watch a comedy show on TV or check out the latest comedy flick at the movie theater. It is said that if you fake a laugh long enough, you'll actually start to laugh really hard - it's worth a try - LOL!
