Summing Up Saturday
Saturday, August 24, 2019
Was up early to make sure Maegann got off for school on time. Saturday's are more difficult as she's exhausted from the previous four days and has to be there an hour earlier. Once she was gone, the house was still very quiet so my sleep buddy and I got some extended sleep time accomplished.
Auggie has this down like a routine!
I got a load of laundry going, cleaned the kitchen and then headed to my desk to get a couple quick online things done before starting on my "to do" list. Well...it was locking up over and over and getting slower and offering messages like "not enough memory", etc. It took me hours to get my work folders backed up just to be safe and I could tell the issue was something in Windows and since I'd been having issues with the File Explorer I did a search on my phone and it offered two folders to remove. That seems to have done the trick. I then was able to run a full scan and it didn't find anything. We'll see how it works tomorrow or Monday.
One item was getting Isaac's birthday cake ordered from DQ. Here's what it will look like:
Nothing too fancy, but it's an ice cream cake! I also contacted Nate's mom and have him lined up to go out for dinner with us and back home for cake. Keeping it a surprise from Isaac hopefully!
Throughout the day little things came my way. One was today's braid by Maegann. She said it is called a "French Dutch".
She showed me tonight once home and explained how it was a blend of two types.
Next I found treasures when going through Isaac's backpack that "has nothing in it mom".
No...just a school ID (mug shot just like last year), math paper and a history syllabus.
I ran across this Farmer's Almanac photo when I was on Facebook via cellphone.
As we didn't have any real winter at all, this looks promising for snow.
Tomorrow will be our usual Sunday with church, sermon viewing with the kids and then whatever else comes up.
