Week 85 for therapy

Wednesday, August 21, 2019

This week in therapy we discussed my ankle being sprained and how it will take months to heal and how the nurse practitioner wants me to get an ankle brace to support it. If the ankle still is not doing better I am come to back. I also discussed my appointment with Dr. Mike and how he came in the room dressed up and I picked on him. He is a true gentleman who wanted me to give my mom his regards. How sweet of the doctor. I released 7 lbs of water weight today.

Jenny, I am glad you did get some news from the doctor, for some reason, I always am glad to get the news, not always excited about , however after the news, we realize what we need to do .. I will be praying for you.. be sure to wear that brace, you really don't want it to get worse.. The Lord is going to be there with you and help you.. I know that you are growing stronger within, although there are times when it seems things are falling apart, the Lord has control, and is going to be with you every single step of the way..

You are in my prayers daily , just keep holding on, looking up and trusting the Lord..

Zephaniah 3:17(NLT) " For the Lord your God is living among you . He is a Mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

Hugs and Prayers to you dear friend,

Jenny, pleased with how you are doing - sorry about the sprained ankle but releasing 7 pounds this week even if it is just water - good job. The secretary of our church took a bad fall when she was collecting shopping carts (her part time job) and doing so she fell into the street and was fortunate no car was coming. She is now on crutches - and the day she did this her husband was released from the hospital after having a heart attack - he has 2 blocked arteries that are blocked 100% - they are small one that they cannot go and put stents in - so he is off work for at least 5 - 6 and then it will depend on his job and the benefits if they will let him come back that so soon. He was told that he has to rid ALL stress, change his eating 100% (and he doesn't have a weight problem) and can't pick up anything over 5 pounds. He is a man that cant sit still and this is doing a number on him and now that his wife is down for the count - well you can imagine what it is like in their house - thankfully that have a good marriage and a very strong relationship with Christ - but with Christ help both of them (or at least her) be able to drive the car in another week - she is on crutches and though it is a really bad sprain she will be back to work next week bringing along a little stool to put her foot up on. I have done it also Jenny and now how difficult the sprain can be but if you take the 1st week maybe 2 of being very careful and off it then with the help of crutches hopefully you will be able to get up and around a little - this is the time for you to be thankful that you are not having to go out to work - always something good out of something bad right.

But on a positive note - you can do it - you are a strong lady - though you might not be able to do much exercise on your feet at this time there are many chair exercises that you might want to try - and stay faithful to eating well and when you are finally up and around low and behold you will see great numbers on the scale. I believe in you.

An ankle brace will stabilize your ankle so it can heal better without stress. Sprains do take awhile as I found through experience. Be well, be happy.
