Orange is the New Fit

Happy Monday everyone!
I am so thankful for a new day for new opportunities. My last week was really rough and pushed things back a bit. However, I am now motivated to be healthier and showing more compassion and self-love. I am starting therapy to address anxiety and depression as well as going to the gym on a consistent basis (3 times a week for the next 6 months and WILL lose 15 lbs). I attended my FIRST ever Orange Theory Fitness class and loved every minute of it. I liked the questions they asked for the fitness consultation (when were you the healthiest and what were you doing at that time? I said 18, but now I am thinking more like when I was 23 and was getting fit for my college senior college photos).
The place was very welcoming and brought a new sense of change for me. It is only a 20 minute walk for me, so I am setting my intention to walk/jog before and after each work out. I'm excited!
Research states that daily exercise of 30 minutes or more helps with depression by increasing dopamine levels or "feel good" hormones and a confidence booster. Both my mental and physical have been on the back burner for the last year and I am tired of putting myself second. I am at a point in my life where I want to manage the anxiety/depression in a healthier and more effective way. Stay tuned for more!
