busy days and weeks

Just in this past week, I have travelled to three different cities in my state, one about retirement (I retired super early, so this was just to find out what I can do when I reach the "official retirement age"), one to meet family and talk, and one to go to a fiber festival and a lavender farm. All of those combined to make me think about plans for the future, plans for the present, and how important it is to come to grips with the fact that we need to plan for the what-ifs, both good and bad.
So often in my life, something I was dreading, once I faced it and/or wrote down the worst possible thing that could happen, it wasn't as bad... I could get through it, I could deal with it. And so many times the worst didn't happen.
So Monday, some important paperwork will be filled out that enables my family (those that I trust) to make medical decisions for me, to get access to my financial information and bank account, and sis and I will make our wills. It will be good to get it done.
